Welcome to the Reading MTB Race!
Where is the venue: Hammonds Farm, Checkendon, Nr Reading, RG8 0NT
When is the race: 21st April 2019
How do I enter: Click on the big button at the bottom of this text
Is this race part of the SouthernXC Series: Yes, this is round 2
What’s the course like: The course at Checkendon is one of the fastest around, it weaves in and out of the trees as it makes its way around an ancient woodland that has been used for over 20 years of mountain bike racing. The venue is pretty much flat which not only leads to super close racing but makes it great for inexperienced riders
Can I race: Of course, everyone is welcome regardless of ability, head over to the categories and schedule page for more information about which race might suit you best and take a look at the FAQ’s for more info
Is camping available: Certainly is, send us a quick email to email@example.com letting us know you plan to camp so that we can ensure there is the correct first aid provision
Can I bring my dog: Yes, along as it’s well behaved and on a lead
Is there an event at this venue the day before: Yes, the TrailX Easter Duathlon is on Saturday 20th
Is the venue easy to find: Yes, it’s a couple of minutes from the A4074 Reading Road. We will send a rider pack to all pre entered riders in the run up to the event
Fun fact: Local rumour (and a bit of googling) suggest that a small procession of ghostly nun’s use the paths around Hammonds Wood for their evening exercise!
